The Kingdom of
God!
Chapter 52
I want to share
with you this week excerpts from a powerful sermon by Pastor John Hagee about
our founding fathers of this great nation.
In 1776, 56 men
gathered in the Pennsylvania State House to draw up a declaration of
independence from we the people of the United States to King George and to
England. It was a fortunate hour in our nation's history. It was one of those
rare occasions when we had greatness to spare. There were no White House
scandals. There were no witch hunts trying to destroy the president.
There were no
ungodly theatrical productions in New York about the assassination of our
national leaders. There were no sick and corrupt media poisoning the minds of
Americans with fake news. No one was betraying our military.
Those 56 men who
birthed America were our founding fathers. They were righteous, God fearing,
bible believing, Christ adoring, Christians and I say that because the
educators in America's colleges and university's today present them as greedy,
melissas, self-serving, people. That is a bold faced
lie!
I'll let history
speak for itself. John Hancock said and I quote, "We recognize no sovereign,
but God and no King but Jesus."
Benjamin Ross,
signer of the Declaration of Independence said, "My only hope of salvation is
in the infinite love of God manifested to the world by the death of His son,
Jesus Christ on the cross. Nothing but His blood will wash away my sins. I rely
exclusively on that! Come Lord Jesus and come quickly" End of quote.
Patrick Henry,
said "It cannot be emphasized to clearly and too often that this nation was
founded, not by religionist, that means people who believe anything, but by
Christians on the gospel of Jesus Christ."
John Jay, the
first Supreme Court Chief Justice said, "Providence has given to our people the
choice of their ruler." That means elections and if you are a respectable
citizen of America you can vote on election day. "It is the duty as well as the
privilege of our Christian nation to select and prefer Christians for their
leaders."
Charles Carrol,
signer of the Declaration of Independence said, "Without morals a republic
cannot exist at any length. Those who are decrying the Christion Religion,
whose morality is so pure, are undermining the foundations of morals. The best
security for the duration of our nation is morality."
King David wrote
in Psalm 11:3, "For if the foundations be destroyed, what can the righteous do?"
Let us examine,
today, the spiritual and moral foundations of America and ask ourselves if the
foundations are being destroyed and if they are, can America survive?
I will assure
you that America is in a fight for its existence! And we the people must come back to the God
of our fathers!
The question,
"Does America have righteous leaders today?" The answer is absolutely, "Yes!"
They are not now in the majority, but we have some wonderful people in
Washington right now working for the preservation of America.
Hear me America!
There is a serious united effort to bring our government down by the media. The
liberal media is at war with the American people for the survival of our
constitutional government and don't you forget it!
How can you
help? You can pray to the God of heaven who has all power in heaven and in
earth! Prayer changes things! We can pray for our righteous leaders We can pray
against the enemies of liberty that they can be exposed and that they can be
brought to confusion. That they be brought to kayos. That they be brought to
financial destruction.
I am describing
spiritual warfare! Quite praying for the post nasal drip of your parkee. Gods
not concerned about that. Get into the arena and start fighting for the soul of
this nation. What you bind on earth is bound in heaven! What you loose on earth
is loosed in heaven.
We are not
helpless! We have access to God Almighty! When we pray, the angels listen and
hasten to come to the earth. Let us go to war for the soul of this nation. Let
us fight the good fight! Let us be sault and light! Let us win this victory!
America must
have a righteous revolution. Psalm 11:7 says, "The Lord loves righteousness."
Psalm 33:12 says, "Blessed is the nation whose God is the Lord!" Psalm 9:17
says, "All nations that forget God are turned into Hell!"
America is
trying desperately to forget God. Our colleges and universities are teaching
our children in America that we are no longer a Christian nation, the Bible is
not true, that there is no God and that there is no absolute truth. That there
are no moral absolutes. I beg to differ! There are moral absolutes and they are
contained in the Bible! It is the magna carta of moral absolutes! What part of
this book that says, "Thou shall not", don't you get?
I hold in my
hand the torch of truth! I hold in my hand the inerrant, infallible, Holy
Spirit inspired word of God! Who is from everlasting to everlasting! This is
our foundation! In God we still trust! We are still one nation, under God in
whom we trust!
This book says
that nothing is impossible to those who believe and are called according to the
purposes of God. Rom. 8:28 God has sent you a Fedx in
this book. Jer. 33:3 says, "Call on me and I will answer and show you mighty
things that you know not!"
When you
understand the mighty power of united prayer, you will shut off the TV and
start talking to God because God can do something about it! This book says,
"Whom the Son sets free is free indeed!" John 8:36. We
are free from the slavery of sin and Satan. We are free from the chains of misery
and habits that have slaved us in times past!
We are free from
anger and bitterness and from rejection and resentment that you have
experienced in your childhood or in your marriage. We are free from the powers
of darkness.
America is
trying to forget God. Our founding fathers said, "We recognize no sovereign but
God and no King but Jesus!' Today our reigning leaders mock the beliefs of the founding
fathers. They mock the word of God. They mock common decency. They mock
morality. They celebrate the murder of the unborn as if its social progress.
Where do we
start this spiritual revolution? It starts with you! Why? Because everyone
thinks about changing the world but the fact is the only thing you can really
change is you!
What a powerful
statement about what is happening in our great nation. We can no longer just
sit back and wait for the rapture! We don't know if that will occur in our lifetime!
But we do know that if we as Christians don't get involved in what is happening
in our nation, we will loose
our freedom to worship our God as we want to.
